A man sees an emergency at Cologne Central Station and calls the emergency number.
1. Thomas: Hallo, hier ist der Notruf. Was ist passiert? (Hello, this is the emergency number. What happened?)

Ein Mensch bricht plötzlich zusammen und reagiert nicht. Vielleicht atmet die Person nicht oder sie röchelt nur. In so einem Notfall musst du ruhig bleiben. Oft liegt ein Herzstillstand vor. Dann zählt jede Sekunde.

Die einfache Reihenfolge ist wichtig: Erst prüfen: Reagiert die Person? Atmet sie? Danach laut Hilfe rufen und den Notruf wählen. Sage klar, wo du bist und was passiert ist. Früher rief man manchmal zu spät an – das war ein Fehler.
