Exercise 1: Match a word

Instruction: Match the items that have a related meaning.

heiraten — eine Hochzeit feiern (to get married — to have a wedding)
zusammenziehen — in eine gemeinsame Wohnung ziehen (to move in together — to move into a shared flat)
ein Kind bekommen — ein Baby bekommen (to have a child — to have a baby)

Registry Office Mitte — Note for couples: If you plan to get married soon, please book your appointment early. Bring valid ID and a recent proof of registration. If you were previously married, you will also need to provide proof of the divorce or of the former partner’s death.

Many couples move in together before the wedding and plan to have a child later. If you have any questions, speak with our staff at the service desk. We can also help schedule your appointment and tell you which documents are still missing.
