Would you like to open a checking account? Please bring your ID card or passport and a registration certificate. After opening the account, you will receive your Girocard (EC card) by post. The PIN will arrive separately. Today you can already set up online banking and make bank transfers.

In Germany, many people still pay in cash, but you can also pay by card. You can get cash at the ATM: you can withdraw or deposit money. When shopping online, pay attention to secure payment methods and never share your PIN.

Ich war heute in einer Filiale, weil ich ein neues Bankkonto eröffnen wollte. Der Mitarbeiter erklärte mir, wie das Online-Banking funktioniert und wie ich eine Überweisung mache. Danach bekam ich meine EC-Karte. Die Geheimzahl kommt per Post. Am Geldautomaten kann ich dann überall Geld abheben oder auch einzahlen. Für kleine Einkäufe zahle ich oft bar, online bezahle ich mit meinem Konto.
