The conditionals
Conditional sentences talk about a situation and its result.
- After si we don’t use the future, the conditional, the imperative, or the present subjunctive.
- Imaginary situations use the subjunctive (imperfect for present/future, pluperfect for the past).

Exceptions!
- Mixed: result in present ⇒ the consequence affects the current situation (Si hubiera ganado más dinero, ahora estaría en Hawái).
- Mixed: result in future ⇒ the consequence is projected into the future (Si hubiera ganado más dinero, me marcharía mañana).
