Exercise 1: Match a word

Instruction: Match each beginning with its correct ending.

Lubię niebieski kolor, bo pasuje do mojego garnituru. (I like blue because it goes with my suit.)
Nie podoba mi się żółty kolor ścian w biurze. (I don't like the yellow paint on the office walls.)
Mój ulubiony kolor do samochodu służbowego to czarny. (My favorite color for the company car is black.)

Nasza firma ma nowe biuro w Warszawie. Architekt wnętrz wysyła e‑mail do pracowników: „Na ścianach w biurze będzie i . To spokojne kolory. Do kuchni wybieramy , bo jest ciepły i energiczny. Do sali spotkań proponuję , bo pomaga się zrelaksować.”

Architekt pyta też o kolory pracowników. Asia , bo jest prosty i nowoczesny. Markowi czerwony plakat w sali. Kasia nie czarnego, bo dla niej jest za smutny. Na końcu e‑maila architekt pisze: „Proszę napisać, jakie kolory lubicie w pracy.”
Our company has a new office in Warsaw. The interior designer sends an email to the employees: “On the office walls we will have blue and gray. These are calm colors. For the kitchen we choose yellow because it is warm and energetic. For the meeting room I suggest green because it helps you relax.”

The designer also asks about the employees' favorite colors. Asia likes white because it is simple and modern. Marek likes the red poster in the room. Kasia does not like black because, for her, it is too sad. At the end of the email the designer writes: “Please write which colors you like at work.”

2. Piszesz krótką wiadomość do koleżanki z pracy. Ona pyta: „Jaki jest twój ulubiony kolor koszuli do biura?”. Odpowiedz jednym prostym zdaniem. (Użyj: ulubiony, kolor, koszula)

  • sypialnia: niebieski albo zielony.

Bardzo lubię jasne kolory, ale nie wiem, co wybrać. Jaki kolor ścian podoba Ci się w salonie? A jaki w sypialni? Napisz proszę, co lubisz, a czego nie lubisz.

Hi,

tomorrow I'm painting the living room and the bedroom in my new flat. I have two ideas:

  • living room: white and grey,
  • bedroom: blue or green.

I really like light colours, but I'm not sure which to choose. Which wall colour do you prefer for the living room? And which for the bedroom? Please write what you like and what you don't like.

w salonie podoba mi się biały i szary. Lubię jasne kolory, bo są spokojne.

W sypialni najbardziej lubię zielony. Niebieski też jest ładny, ale nie lubię bardzo ciemnych kolorów w sypialni.
