Exercise 1: Match a word

Instruction: Match each beginning with its correct ending.

The Administration Department is ordering a new board for the meeting room. The board should be large and rectangular. It must fit the wall next to the window. Please propose two models: one lightweight and one heavier (for permanent installation). In the description, state the shape, color and dimensions: wide or narrow, tall or low.

Important: a drawing of the board is required. You can draw a simple frame line and mark the corners. Compare the models: one may be more practical than the other, but both should be as simple as possible. Deadline for submitting proposals: Friday.

(You are in a furniture store. You want to buy a table for a small apartment. The salesperson asks: which tabletop shape do you prefer? Answer and ask for help. (Use: round, square, small))

Example:

Wolę okrągły stół, bo jest mały. Czy macie coś podobnego?

2. W pracy wybierasz kształt logo na wizytówce. Kolega pyta, co pasuje do nazwy firmy. Odpowiedz krótko i powiedz, co wybierasz. (Użyj: trójkąt, koło, pasuje)

(At work you choose the shape of the logo for a business card. A colleague asks what fits the company name. Answer briefly and say what you choose. (Use: triangle, circle, fits))
