Exercise 1: Word bingo

Instruction: 1. Listen minimum two times to the video and indicate the words you hear. 2. Use the words to form a conversation with your teacher (write down your conversation). 3. Memorize the words with the word trainer.

Instruction: 1. Read the dialogue in pairs. 2. Memorize the phrases by covering the translation. 3. Cover one speaker’s lines, give alternative answers with your teacher, and write them down.

Marta tiene una entrevista de trabajo y habla con el entrevistador sobre su currículum, su experiencia y su intención de cambiar de trabajo.

Marta has a job interview and talks with the interviewer about her CV, her experience, and her intention to change jobs.
1. Empleado: Sí, adelante. (Yes, go ahead.)
2. Martin: Buenos días. Me llamo Marta Gómez. Tengo una cita a las 10. (Good morning. My name is Marta Gómez. I have an appointment at 10.)
3. Empleado: Por supuesto, siéntase, por favor. Soy Santiago Márquez. ¿Traes tu currículum? (Of course, please sit down. I am Santiago Márquez. Do you bring your resume?)
4. Martin: Sí, encantada, señor Márquez. También le traigo dos copias de mis títulos y de los trabajos que he tenido. (Yes, delighted, Mr. Márquez. I also bring you two copies of my degrees and the jobs I have had.)
5. Empleado: ¿Estás trabajando ahora? (Are you working now?)
6. Martin: Sí, pero voy a cambiar de ciudad por motivos personales. Quiero buscar un trabajo diferente. (Yes, but I am going to change city for personal reasons. I want to look for a different job.)
7. Empleado: ¿Qué tipo de trabajo buscas? (What kind of job are you looking for?)
8. Martin: He estudiado producción de madera y muebles. Quiero trabajar en ese sector. (I have studied wood and furniture production. I want to work in that sector.)
9. Empleado: ¿Todo lo que dices en tu currículum es cierto? (Is everything you say in your resume true?)
10. Martin: Sí, todo es verdad. Si necesita otros documentos, se los puedo traer. (Yes, everything is true. If you need other documents, I can bring them to you.)
11. Empleado: A veces vemos currículums con información que no es cierta. (Sometimes we see resumes with information that is not true.)
12. Martin: No hay problema. Estoy a su disposición. (No problem. I am at your disposal.)
