Es viernes por la tarde en Madrid. Sofía es arquitecta y hace poco ha llegado a España para trabajar. Hoy invita a algunos compañeros de la oficina a su piso nuevo.

It's Friday afternoon in Madrid. Sofía is an architect and recently arrived in Spain to work. Today she invites some coworkers from the office to her new flat.

Before they arrive, Sofía sets the living-room table. She puts out the plates, napkins and some small candles. In the kitchen there's a Spanish omelette, cheese, olives and a small appetizer. She also has a chocolate cake for dessert.

Her friends arrive around eight. One brings a bouquet of flowers and another colleague brings a bottle of cava. Everyone is happy because it has been a long week at work, and they want a quiet night at home, not a bar with loud music.

After dinner they make a toast with cava to Sofía's new life in Spain. Then they linger at the table, talking about their countries, customs and plans for the weekend. Later someone suggests playing cards and other board games. The night is a lot of fun and everyone decides to repeat the dinner and game night another day.
