Exercise 1: Match a word

Instruction: Match each beginning with its correct ending.

Ik zet deze zware doos op de lage tafel. (I put this heavy box on the low table.)
Dat hoge gebouw heeft een brede rechthoekige vorm. (That tall building has a wide rectangular shape.)
Deze tafel heeft een mooi rond patroon. (This table has a nice round pattern.)
Ik vind dit vierkant mooier dan die driehoek daar. (I think this square is more beautiful than that triangle over there.)

Ons bedrijf krijgt nieuwe posters voor het kantoor. Op de posters staan eenvoudige vormen. Op één poster staat een grote . Op een andere poster staat een met een erboven. De op de posters zijn en zwart. De posters zijn niet hoog, maar .

De manager de posters in de vergaderruimte. Hij zegt: “ poster met de cirkel komt links. Die poster met het vierkant komt rechts.” Veel collega’s vinden de poster met de driehoek mooi. Eén collega zegt: “Ik vind die lange, smalle leuker. Ik zet dat bord met de rechthoek naast het raam.”
Our company is getting new posters for the office. The posters show simple shapes. One poster has a large circle. Another poster has a square with a triangle above it. The lines on the posters are straight and black. The posters are not tall, but wide.

The manager puts the posters in the meeting room. He says: “This poster with the circle goes on the left. That poster with the square goes on the right.” Many colleagues think the poster with the triangle is beautiful. One colleague says: “I like that long, narrow rectangle better. I’ll put that light board with the rectangle next to the window.”

1. Je bent op kantoor. Jij en een collega kiezen een nieuw logo voor het bedrijf. Leg kort uit dat jij een simpel rond logo mooi vindt. (Gebruik: de cirkel, simpel, mooi)

Exercise 7: Writing correspondence

Instruction: Write a reply to the following message appropriate to the situation
