A farmhouse is a house in the countryside where you can sleep and eat local food. Often it is a farm, with animals and natural products.

Exercise 1: Word bingo

1. Giulio: Ho trovato un agriturismo dove possiamo andare. (I found a farmhouse where we can go.)
2. Marta: Ah sì? Dove si trova? (Oh really? Where is it located?)
3. Giulio: Si trova nelle colline della Toscana, in mezzo alla natura. (It is located in the hills of Tuscany, surrounded by nature.)
4. Marta: Che bello! Spero che ci siano molti animali. (How nice! I hope there are many animals.)
5. Giulio: Per fortuna sì: è anche una fattoria, ci sono mucche, cavalli, maiali e pecore. (Luckily yes: it is also a farm, there are cows, horses, pigs, and sheep.)
6. Marta: Perfetto! E ha anche un ristorante? (Perfect! Does it also have a restaurant?)
7. Giulio: Sì, usano solo i loro prodotti locali: formaggi, salumi, vino... tutto tipico toscano. Li vendono anche. (Yes, they only use their local products: cheeses, cured meats, wine... all typical Tuscan. They also sell them.)
8. Marta: Che buono! Hai visto se ci sono attività all’aria aperta? (How good! Did you see if there are any outdoor activities?)
9. Giulio: Sì, ce ne sono molte. Vorrei fare un giro in bicicletta tra le colline. (Yes, there are many. I would like to take a bike ride through the hills.)
10. Marta: Non avevo dubbi! Vuoi prenotare per giugno? (I had no doubts! Do you want to book for June?)
11. Giulio: Sì, mi sembra un’idea ottima. (Yes, it seems like a great idea to me.)
