(Here are five body parts that you probably don’t wash well enough.)
(The first two are your hair and your nails.)
(When you shampoo, you wash your hair but often don’t clean your scalp well.)
(That’s where a lot of bacteria can build up, and the skin can get irritated.)
(So, besides washing your hair, gently massage your scalp for a few minutes.)
(For your nails, it’s important to use a brush with Marseille soap every day.)
(The third part is your belly button: according to some studies, there can be up to 1,400 bacteria there.)
(To clean it, just use soap and water with a cotton ball.)
(As for your ears, people often forget to clean the delicate area behind them properly.)
(Finally, there are your feet, which spend most of the day in shoes and sweat a lot; it’s important to dry them well as soon as you’ve finished your shower.)

(When you shampoo, what often doesn’t get cleaned well?)

(What is recommended to use every day to clean your nails well?)

3. Quando è importante asciugare bene i piedi?

(When is it important to dry your feet well?)

A patient talks with the dermatologist about irritations and receives practical advice
(Good morning, doctor, I’m here because for months, after showering, I’ve been getting some small irritations.)
(It can happen if you don’t dry yourself right away, especially in the more delicate areas.)
3. Edoardo: Quindi cosa dovrei fare? Ha qualche consiglio in particolare? (So what should I do? Do you have any specific advice?)
(I advise you to dry yourself well before doing anything else, so you avoid redness.)
(I’ve also started to wonder if I’ve been using too many products lately.)
(Can you tell me which ones you usually use?)
(I use shampoo, shower gel, aftershave, deodorant and, lastly, perfume.)
(That’s not a problem: the important thing is to choose gentle products and not apply perfume until your skin improves.)
(I also have doubts about my ears, because I read that cotton swabs aren’t good.)
(Exactly, they’re too harsh. Use only water and soap and clean well behind your ears too.)
11. Edoardo: Va bene, seguirò i suoi consigli. Spero di vedere miglioramenti entro poche settimane. (Alright, I’ll follow your advice. I hope to see improvements within a few weeks.)
12. Dermatologa: Vedrà che sarà così. Mi aggiorni se non nota cambiamenti. (You’ll see that it will be so. Keep me updated if you don’t notice any changes.)

(What does the doctor recommend to avoid redness after a shower?)

2. Cosa dice la dottoressa riguardo al profumo?

(What does the doctor say about perfume?)
