This week the Bioparco of Rome is offering a special “Family Trip to the Zoo.” Families can spend a day outdoors and enjoy the park’s scenery, with areas that recreate the desert and the jungle. Children learn to recognize different wild animals and to respect endangered species.

On the main route you can see the African elephant, the giraffe, the rhinoceros and some very curious monkeys. In another area there is a small aquarium with colorful fish. The guides explain that some animals are fascinating but potentially dangerous, so it’s important not to feed or touch any animals. At the end of the visit, families can buy a discounted ticket to return in either spring or autumn.
