A Roma ci sono molti posti buoni per uno spuntino o un pranzo veloce. In una pasticceria si può provare il maritozzo, grande e pieno di panna, ma è meglio arrivare presto. In un forno famoso si mangia la pizza rossa, bassa e croccante. Per qualcosa di diverso, si possono scegliere triangoli di pizza farciti con verdure di campo. Se cominci a assaggiare questi gusti, poi vuoi tornare a prenderli.

Ecco cinque posti dove mangiare assolutamente a Roma. (Here are five places you absolutely have to eat at in Rome.)
Il primo posto è "Linari", consigliato da una ragazza che mi segue. (The first place is “Linari”, recommended by a girl who follows me.)
Qui si trovano ciambelle fritte enormi, croccanti fuori e morbide dentro. (Here you can get huge fried doughnuts—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.)
Il secondo posto è "Trapizzino", dove si mangiano triangoli di pizza farciti. (The second place is “Trapizzino”, where you eat stuffed pizza triangles.)
Io ho preso quello con misticanza alla romana: verdure di campo ripassate. (I got the one with Roman-style mixed greens: sautéed wild greens.)
Il terzo posto è la pasticceria "Regoli", famosa per il maritozzo. (The third place is the pastry shop “Regoli”, famous for the maritozzo.)
I maritozzi sono enormi, pieni di panna, e vanno comprati entro le dieci. (The maritozzi are huge, filled with whipped cream, and you have to buy them before ten o’clock.)
Il quarto posto è il forno "Roscioli", uno dei miei forni preferiti. (The fourth place is the bakery “Roscioli”, one of my favourites.)
Qui tutto è buono, ma consiglio soprattutto la pizza rossa. (Everything here is good, but I especially recommend the red pizza.)
La pizza è bassa, croccante e cotta benissimo: un pezzo tira l'altro. (The pizza is thin, crispy, and baked perfectly: one slice leads to another.)

1. Il panettiere: Buongiorno, come posso aiutarla? (Good morning, how can I help you?)
2. Francesca: Buongiorno! Vorrei prendere un po' di pizza. Che cosa ha? (Good morning! I'd like to get some pizza. What do you have?)
3. Il panettiere: Ho delle pizze al taglio: prosciutto e funghi, margherita, con le verdure. Ho anche la pizza rossa. (I have pizza by the slice: ham and mushrooms, margherita, with vegetables. I also have red pizza.)
4. Francesca: Va bene, mi dia un paio di tranci di pizza rossa e anche una porzione di patatine, per favore. (All right, give me a couple of slices of red pizza and also a portion of fries, please.)
5. Il panettiere: Certamente. Vuole qualcos'altro? (Certainly. Would you like anything else?)
6. Francesca: Volevo prendere delle ciambelle fritte e dei maritozzi per la cena di stasera, ma non li vedo. (I wanted to get some fried doughnuts and some maritozzi for tonight's dinner, but I don't see them.)
7. Il panettiere: No, li abbiamo finiti per ora, ma li prepariamo di nuovo nel pomeriggio. (No, we're out of them for now, but we'll make them again this afternoon.)
8. Francesca: Ah, ok. Mi può mettere da parte due ciambelle e due maritozzi per stasera? Passo nel pomeriggio a prenderli. (Ah, ok. Could you set aside two doughnuts and two maritozzi for this evening? I'll stop by in the afternoon to pick them up.)
9. Il panettiere: Certamente. A che ora passa a ritirarli? (Certainly. What time will you come by to pick them up?)
10. Francesca: Dopo le sei e mezza, va bene? (After six thirty, is that ok?)
11. Il panettiere: Sì, certamente. Chiudiamo alle sette e mezza. (Yes, certainly. We close at seven thirty.)
