Subject: Proposal for tomorrow's presentation

Good morning, following yesterday's meeting I'm sending my proposal for the slides. I'd like a clearer narrative and fewer numbers at the start. I think a concrete example will make the presentation more persuasive. For me, the best result is to keep the essential data and shorten the text.

I received an offer to include two solutions instead of one. However, I don't agree with all the points and I propose a counteroffer: two versions, one brief and one full. If that's not acceptable, I can reject this idea and keep a single version. Please let me know your opinion by the end of today.

(So, for this one-bedroom the owner's offer is €900 per month, plus €100 for utilities.)

Marco (inquilino): Show Capisco, ma ho un'opinione diversa: secondo me 900 è un po' alto per la zona.

(I understand, but I have a different view: I think €900 is a bit high for this area.)

(Tell me: what is your counteroffer? That way we can start a brief negotiation.)

Marco (inquilino): Show Posso offrire 820 euro e firmo subito.

(I can offer €820 and I'll sign immediately. If the utilities stay at €100, that's fine with me.)

Sara (agente immobiliare): Show Va bene, condivido l'idea: la proposta è convincente.

(Alright, I like the proposal: it's convincing. I'll present it to the owner and let you know the result.)

Ciao!

Hi! I’m Laura 😊

For Friday’s team dinner, Marco suggested the restaurant “Da Nino” (meat). I would prefer “La Taverna Verde” because they also have vegetarian dishes. Yesterday Anna said she rejected “Da Nino” because it’s too expensive.

What do you think? Can we find a compromise and decide today?

    (In my opinion…)

  2. Io preferirei…, però capisco che…

    (I would prefer…, but I understand that…)

  3. Possiamo fare un compromesso: …

(We can make a compromise: …)

Ciao Laura! Secondo me “La Taverna Verde” è una buona idea, così tutti possono scegliere. Dimmi cosa pensi e decidiamo entro oggi!

Hi Laura! In my opinion “La Taverna Verde” is a good idea, that way everyone can choose. I would prefer a place with vegetarian options, but I understand Marco wants meat. We can make a compromise: let’s go to La Taverna Verde and those who want meat can order a second course there, or we choose “Da Nino” with a maximum budget, for example €25 per person. Anna said she rejected “Da Nino” because it’s too expensive, so price matters. Tell me what you think and let’s decide today!
