Ab nächster Woche testet die Deutsche Bahn in ausgewählten ICEs eine neue Regel im Zug‑WLAN: Audio ist weiterhin erlaubt, aber Video-Streaming wird abends zeitweise verlangsamt. Begründung: Viele Fahrgäste hören unterwegs oder Musik, und die Verbindung soll für alle stabil bleiben. Musik wird normal , und auch Downloads in der App sind weiterhin möglich.

Für Podcasts empfiehlt die Bahn, vor der Abfahrt zu speichern oder eine zu erstellen. Wer einen nutzt, kann die automatische Empfehlung in den Einstellungen anpassen, damit neue Folgen auch offline verfügbar sind. Wenn Sie häufig pendeln, würden Sie damit weniger Pausen durch schlechte Verbindung haben.
Starting next week, Deutsche Bahn will test a new rule for on-board Wi‑Fi in selected ICE trains: audio is still allowed, but video streaming will be slowed down at times in the evenings. Reason: many passengers listen to podcasts or music while traveling, and the connection should remain stable for everyone. Music will play normally, and downloads in the app will still be possible.

For podcasts, the railway recommends saving episodes before departure or creating a playlist. Anyone who uses a subscription service can adjust the automatic recommendation in the settings so that new episodes are also available offline. If you commute frequently, you would have fewer interruptions caused by a poor connection.

Seit ein paar Wochen benutze ich wieder eine Streamingplattform, weil ich beim Arbeiten gern Musik höre. Meistens wähle ich ein ruhiges Musikgenre, aber morgens starte ich oft mit einem Hit aus meiner Wiedergabeliste. In der Mittagspause pausiere ich die Musik und spiele eine Podcastfolge ab, die mir eine Kollegin empfohlen hat. Es geht um Zusammenarbeit in internationalen Teams. Das klingt interessant, aber manchmal finde ich die Folgen zu lang. Trotzdem übertrage ich die Episode später aufs Handy, damit ich sie im Zug weiterhören kann. Hi Jana,

ich nutze meistens Spotify, weil ich dort meine Wiedergabelisten gut sortieren kann. Morgens höre ich oft kurze Podcast-Episoden, zum Beispiel einen Kulturpodcast, der aktuelle Themen erklärt und nicht zu lang ist. True Crime mag ich auch nicht.

Als Empfehlung für Humor kann ich dir den Podcast „Das klingt ja interessant“ vorschlagen – die Folgen sind kurz und locker, gut für den Weg zur Arbeit. Zum Konzentrieren höre ich eine ruhige Wiedergabeliste mit Lo-Fi und Instrumental.

I mostly use Spotify because I can organize my playlists well there. In the morning I often listen to short podcast episodes, for example a culture podcast that explains current topics and isn’t too long. I don’t like true crime either.

As a humor recommendation, I can suggest the podcast “That sounds interesting” – the episodes are short and relaxed, good for the way to work. To concentrate, I listen to a calm playlist with lo-fi and instrumental.
