Im Stadttheater hatte gestern „Der Besuch der alten Dame“ Premiere. Die des war modern, aber gut verständlich. Schon vor Beginn stand das im Foyer in der Schlange, viele kauften noch ein Programmheft. Im Saal fanden die Zuschauer schnell ihre in der dritten Reihe. Der Vorhang ging pünktlich auf.

Die spielten sehr konzentriert, und die wirkte trotz weniger Requisiten lebendig. In der Theaterpause diskutierten viele über die Frage: Wovon handelt das Stück heute, und was bleibt aus der Zeit des Autors? Am Ende gab es langen . Für das Theater war der Abend ein Erfolg – wegen der klaren Regie und der starken Hauptrolle.
Yesterday, “The Visit” premiered at the City Theater. The director’s production was modern, but easy to understand. Even before it began, the audience was queuing in the foyer; many were still buying a program. In the auditorium, the spectators quickly found their seats in the third row. The curtain went up on time.

The actors performed with great focus, and the stage felt lively despite having few props. During the intermission, many discussed the question: What is the play about today, and what remains from the time of the author? In the end there was long applause. For the theater, the evening was a success—thanks to the clear direction and the strong leading role.

Letzten Samstag bin ich mit einer Kollegin zur Premiere in ein Theater in Berlin gegangen. Wir mussten zuerst eine Weile Schlange stehen, weil wir die Tickets an der Kasse abholen wollten. Im Saal war das Publikum sehr gemischt. Unser Sitzplatz war in der achten Reihe, also ziemlich nah an der Bühne. Die Inszenierung war modern, und der Regisseur hat das Stück in die Gegenwart verlegt. Im Programmheft habe ich gelesen, worum es in dem Theaterstück geht. In der Theaterpause gab es Live-Musik: ein Pianist und eine Geigerin haben gespielt. Am Ende hat das Publikum lange applaudiert. Für mich war das wirklich ein Erfolg.
(Last Saturday I went with a colleague to the premiere at a theatre in Berlin. First we had to stand in line for a while because we wanted to pick up the tickets at the box office. Hi Lea, danke fürs Besorgen der Tickets! Reihe 12 klingt super. Mir ist der Platz am Gang nicht so wichtig, wir können also gern vor Ort tauschen, wenn du den Gangplatz lieber hast.
