The leisure and culture center at Town Hall Square is expanding its program: During the week, a cooking course starts on Tuesday evening and a gardening course on Saturday morning. Anyone new in town or who sits in front of a screen a lot at work will find balance here: doing something together, trying out sports, or simply making new contacts.

For the weekend, a table tennis tournament and a guided bike tour outside the city are planned. Registration is online; groups can also arrange to meet up directly. Many participants say they feel better after work because they use their free time more consciously and don’t get bored.

Hey! Yesterday I found a new leisure group in our neighborhood: “Out and about on Saturdays”. They usually meet on weekends for bike rides or small activities (e.g. cooking).

This Saturday they want to ride outside the city along the canal, about 25 km, and afterwards everyone goes out to eat together. I’m not sure yet whether I have time, but I’d like to. Are you interested too? And what do you normally do on weekends?

Hi Nele, das klingt richtig gut! Ich bin auch Fan von Fahrradtouren, weil ich dabei Bewegung habe und gut abschalten kann. Normalerweise bin ich samstags vormittags oft beschäftigt, aber diesen Samstag könnte es passen.

Die Strecke außerhalb der Stadt am Kanal hört sich schön an. Um wie viel Uhr trefft ihr euch und wo genau ist der Startpunkt? Muss man sich vorher anmelden oder etwas mitbringen?

Wenn alles passt, komme ich gern mit. Können wir uns innerhalb der Woche kurz abstimmen?
