1. Klaas: Ben jij ook naar de boekhandel gekomen vanwege de Boekenweek? (Did you also come to the bookstore because of Boekenweek?)
2. Julia : Ja, ik wil het niet missen. Het is een leuk feest voor boeken en het thema dit jaar vind ik heel interessant. (Yes, I don't want to miss it. It is a fun celebration for books and I find this year's theme very interesting.)
3. Klaas: Het thema is 'Tweestrijd'. Dat vind ik ook goed. Je krijgt ook het Boekenweekgeschenk cadeau als je een paar boeken koopt. (The theme is 'Conflict'. I also think that's good. You also get the Boekenweekgeschenk as a gift when you buy a few books.)
4. Julia : Oh, ja, dat heb ik gezien! Ben jij ook een liefhebber van boeken? (Oh, yes, I saw that! Are you also a lover of books?)
5. Klaas: Ik ben schrijver en ik heb net een nieuwe roman geschreven. (I am a writer and I have just written a new novel.)

9. Klaas: Je kunt het lenen bij de bibliotheek of hier in deze boekhandel kopen. Het is dat grote rode boek daar. (You can borrow it at the library or buy it here in this bookstore. It is the big red book over there.)
10. Julia : Ik was net gedichten aan het bekijken, maar ik zal zeker ook naar jouw boek kijken. (I was just looking at poems, but I will definitely also look at your book.)
11. Klaas: Gedichten zijn altijd mooi om te lezen, vooral in de Boekenweek. Leuk kennis te maken! (Poems are always nice to read, especially during Boekenweek. Nice to meet you!)
