In Nederland ga je na de middelbare school naar MBO, HBO of universiteit. De video bespreekt het MBO en het kiezen van de juiste opleiding. Deze tips kunnen ook helpen bij andere persoonlijke keuzes.
In the Netherlands, after secondary school you go to MBO, HBO or university. The video discusses MBO and choosing the right course. These tips can also help with other personal decisions.

1. Dieter: Hé Lena, heb jij ooit aan een vervolgopleiding gedacht? (Hey Lena, have you ever thought about further education?)
2. Lena: Ja, Dieter, wat toevallig. Ik denk er ook over na. (Yes, Dieter, what a coincidence. I’ve been thinking about it too.)
3. Dieter: Leuk! Het is belangrijk om je kennis up-to-date te houden, vooral in ons vakgebied. (Nice! It’s important to keep your knowledge up to date, especially in our field.)
4. Lena: Ja, precies. Ik ben goed in mijn werk, maar ik wil mijn talenten verder ontwikkelen. (Yes, exactly. I’m good at my job, but I want to develop my talents further.)
5. Dieter: Goed idee. Welke richting wil je volgen? (Good idea. Which direction do you want to pursue?)

Task: Kies twee opleidingen of cursussen, schrijf welke jij het meest interessant vindt en leg kort uit waarom.

De Hogeschool van Amsterdam biedt veel opleidingen en cursussen. Er zijn bachelors (meestal 3 of 4 jaar), associate degrees (2 jaar) en masters. Je kunt voltijd of deeltijd studeren. Voorbeelden zijn HBO-ICT, Accountancy, Communicatie, Social Work en Pabo.

Sommige cursussen zijn kort, zoals Projectmanagement of Digital Marketing. Mensen kiezen een opleiding omdat het past bij hun ervaring en hun herinnering aan school. Vroeger was school soms anders, maar nu kun je een nieuwe richting kiezen. Belangrijk zijn de duur, de taal en wat je later wilt doen. Daarna kun je je zich inschrijven voor de opleiding of cursus.

  • Je kunt filters gebruiken, bijvoorbeeld voor niveau en taal.
  • Er zijn veel keuzes: opleidingen en cursussen voor verschillende beroepen.
