- Some indefinite numerals take an -e when they are placed before a noun.
- Enige and sommige take a -n when they are used independently for persons in the plural.

Exercise 2: Multiple Choice
Instruction: Choose the correct sentence with a compound noun. Pay attention to the correct form and the use of tussen-s and tussen-en.

'Boerderij deur' must be one compound word: 'boerderijdeur.'
'Dorp plein' must be one compound word: 'dorpsplein.'
2.
'Woordboek' is missing the tussen-n: it must be 'woordenboek.'
'Woordenboek' must be written as one word, as a compound noun.
3.
'Hondenhok' is a compound, but 'grote hondenhok' needs the correct article: for example, 'een groot hondenhok.'
'Paard wei' must be one word: 'paardenwei.'
4.
'Varken stal' must be one compound word: 'varkensstal.'
'Many sheep in the pigsty' is illogical because a pigsty is for pigs, not sheep.
