(Parents’ evening and school time)

Volgende week is er een ouderavond op de middelbare school. Ouders kunnen zich voor een kort gesprek met de mentor in het . Neem het rapport mee. De school vraagt ook om een korte vragenlijst over de van uw kind: wat gaat goed, wat is lastig en welke extra hulp is nodig?

In de nieuwsbrief staat een stukje over aan de kindertijd. Een docent schrijft: "Toen ik op de basisschool zat, ik vaak nerveus voor toetsen. Ik de sommen wel, maar ik de vragen soms niet. Toch haalde ik later goede cijfers. Nu ik soms de rust van die tijd."
Next week there is a parents’ evening at the secondary school. Parents can sign up for a short conversation with the mentor in the classroom. Bring the report card. The school also asks for a short questionnaire about your child’s experience: what is going well, what is difficult, and what extra help is needed?

In the newsletter there is a piece about memories of childhood. A teacher writes: "When I was in primary school, I was often nervous about tests. I did know the sums, but I sometimes didn’t understand the questions. Still, I later got good grades. Now I sometimes miss the calm of that time."

Volgende week schrijf ik me in voor een cursus Nederlands in het buurthuis. Daardoor denk ik veel aan mijn tijd op school. Eerst zat ik op de basisschool in een klein dorp. In het klaslokaal kende ik bijna iedereen. Later ging ik naar de middelbare school in de stad. Daar had ik een strenge docent wiskunde, maar ik haalde vaak goede cijfers. Soms mis ik die kindertijd, vooral de gezelligheid en de herinneringen.
