Steeds meer mensen werken thuis.	(More and more people work from home.)
Af en toe is je huis ook een werkplek.	(Sometimes your home is also a workplace.)
Maar wie is dat nou eigenlijk, die thuiswerker?	(But who exactly is that, the person working from home?)
In tweeduizendzeventien waren er ongeveer drie miljoen mensen die thuis werkten.	(In 2017 there were about three million people who worked from home.)
Voor een deel daarvan, ongeveer één komma twee miljoen mensen, is hun huis ook hun werkplek.	(For some of them, about 1.2 million people, their home is also their workplace.)
Een groter deel heeft afspraken met de werkgever over een dag thuiswerken.	(A larger group has agreements with the employer about working from home one day.)
Het kan ook af en toe zijn, bijvoorbeeld omdat er een monteur langskomt.	(It can also be only occasionally, for example because a mechanic is coming by.)
De afgelopen vijf jaar is het aandeel thuiswerkers toegenomen, van vierendertig naar zevenendertig procent.	(In the past five years the share of people working from home has increased, from thirty-four to thirty-seven percent.)
Die toename komt vooral omdat steeds meer vrouwen hun huis als werkplek gebruiken.	(That increase is mainly because more and more women use their home as a workplace.)
