Muchos lectores se informan por la portada y los , pero eso no siempre basta. Cuando una noticia proviene de una o de un medio conocido suele generar más confianza; aun así, conviene leer la completa y comprobar la fuente. En redes, un puede parecer real si se comparte mucho.

Antes de la actualidad, mira en qué está: economía, deportes o editorial. No creo que un buen periodismo consista solo en publicar rápido: es mejor datos, contrastar versiones y, si hace falta, esperar. Así te mantienes bien informado sin perder tiempo ni caer en errores.
Many readers get informed from the front page and the headlines, but that is not always enough. When a news story comes from a press agency or a well-known outlet it usually inspires more trust; even so, it is advisable to read the full report and check the source. On social media, a hoax can seem real if it is shared a lot.

Before commenting on current events, look at which section it is in: business, sports, or editorial. I don’t think good journalism is just about publishing quickly: it is better to verify facts, compare accounts, and, if necessary, wait. That way you stay well informed without wasting time or making mistakes.

Esta semana en la oficina hemos hablado mucho sobre la actualidad porque en la portada del periódico salió un titular sobre la subida del precio de la luz. Yo suelo leer la prensa digital por la mañana para mantenerme bien informado, pero antes de compartir algo en el chat del equipo siempre intento verificarlo. Ayer, de hecho, una compañera envió un enlace que parecía de una agencia de prensa y resultó ser un bulo. Al final buscamos la noticia en varios medios de comunicación y también vimos un editorial con otra opinión.

Clara (vecina): Show Javier, ¿has visto el mensaje del grupo? Dicen que van a cerrar el centro de salud la semana que viene; a mí me suena a bulo.

Javier (vecino): Show Sí, lo he visto y me ha preocupado. ¿Cómo lo comprobarías tú?

Clara (vecina): Show Yo miraría la prensa local y la web del ayuntamiento, y vería si algún periódico lo publica en la portada o al menos en un titular claro.
