A hiking group is also starting that organizes outings near Madrid and, once a month, a day trip to visit nearby towns. No previous experience is required to participate; you only need to check the level of effort and confirm your attendance in advance.
To sign up, complete the online form and choose whether you want to register for a club or for a neighborhood association (discounts for members). Por cierto, en el centro cultural han abierto un club de cocina los jueves por la tarde. Yo quiero inscribirme, pero no sé si tú estás libre o ocupada esos días. Si te interesa, voy mañana y pregunto precios y horarios.
Hi, Marta. It’s Dani 😊
This weekend I have free time and feel like doing something different. Some friends are going to camp near Cercedilla and on Sunday they want to have a picnic. Do you want to join?
By the way, a cooking club has opened at the cultural centre on Thursday afternoons. I want to sign up, but I don’t know if you are free or busy those days. If you’re interested, I’ll go tomorrow and ask about prices and schedules.
Useful phrases:
-
Este fin de semana estoy libre/ocupado, pero…

(If you want, I can… / Do you think it’s OK if…?)
Sobre el club de cocina: los jueves suelo salir tarde del trabajo, pero podría llegar sobre las 19:00. Si vas mañana, pregúntame los horarios exactos, el precio y si hay que llevar ingredientes. Si todo encaja, me apunto contigo.
Hi, Dani. What a great plan! This weekend I’m free on Sunday, but on Saturday morning I have an appointment. I’d prefer the picnic, so I can go on Sunday and bring something to eat (for example, a tortilla or some fruit). In my free time I usually visit small towns and sometimes do DIY at home, but I’d like to try cooking.
About the cooking club: on Thursdays I usually finish work late, but I could get there around 19:00. If you go tomorrow, ask me the exact schedule, the price and whether we need to bring ingredients. If everything works out, I’ll sign up with you.
