Before the analysis, the team checks whether the material is sterile or contaminated and confirms the indicated method. If the sample is liquid, it is transported in a sealed container and kept in the refrigerator.
In the event of incidents, you must notify the person in charge under whose supervision you are working and record what happened. Last week, a sample was accidentally frozen during transport and the report of the finding was delayed. If you know the chemistry laboratory, you know where the electronic form is to request a new shipment.

Creemos que puede estar contaminada o que hubo un problema al seguir el protocolo (material no estéril o frasco mal cerrado).
¿Tú sabes si ayer se cambió algo en el método o en el equipo? ¿Puedes confirmar quién preparó la muestra y si se hizo bajo la supervisión de alguien? Si te parece, repetimos el estudio hoy antes de las 16:00.

I’m writing to you from Quality Control. In the analysis of sample L-17 (solvent in liquid state) we have seen a strange result: a peak appears that does not correspond to the method. We think it may be contaminated or that there was a problem following the protocol (non-sterile material or a poorly closed vial).
Do you know if yesterday anything was changed in the method or in the equipment? Can you confirm who prepared the sample and whether it was done under the supervision of someone? If you agree, we can repeat the study today before 16:00.

Gracias por avisar. Según lo que yo sé, ayer no se cambió el método ni el equipo. La muestra L-17 la preparó Diego (turno de tarde). Yo lo conozco de otros proyectos y suele trabajar con cuidado, pero le voy a preguntar si el frasco quedó bien cerrado y qué material utilizó.
Confirmaré también si lo hizo bajo la supervisión de la jefa de turno. Me parece bien repetir el análisis hoy. ¿Puedes decirme a qué hora tenéis libre el equipo para coordinarlo con Producción?

Thanks for letting me know. As far as I know, yesterday neither the method nor the equipment was changed. Sample L-17 was prepared by Diego (afternoon shift). I know him from other projects and he usually works carefully, but I’m going to ask him whether the vial was properly closed and what material he used.
I will also confirm whether he did it under the supervision of the shift supervisor. I think it’s fine to repeat the analysis today. Can you tell me what time the equipment is available so we can coordinate it with Production?
