Muchas veces leer una factura puede ser difícil. (Reading an invoice can often be difficult.)
Te explico cómo leerla, paso a paso. (I'll explain how to read it, step by step.)
En la parte superior están los datos generales: la fecha de la factura y los datos fiscales, útiles para una reclamación. (At the top are the general details: the invoice date and the billing details, useful if you need to make a complaint.)
En el centro aparecen los servicios contratados: por ejemplo, internet y móvil, y puede haber un cobro extra por llamadas. (In the middle are the contracted services: for example, internet and mobile. There may also be an extra charge for calls.)
A continuación se indica el precio de cada servicio sin IVA. (Next, the price of each service before VAT is shown.)
La siguiente columna muestra la cuota de IVA: veintiuno por ciento. (The following column shows the VAT amount: twenty-one percent.)
Al final figura el importe total con el IVA incluido. (At the end the total amount, including VAT, is shown.)
En la parte inferior hay un resumen con el precio sin IVA, la cuota de IVA aplicada y el total a pagar. (At the bottom there's a summary with the price before VAT, the VAT amount applied and the total to pay.)
Al leer tu factura, asegúrate de que solo te cobren por los servicios contratados, de que el periodo facturado sea correcto y de que los impuestos aplicados sean los adecuados. (When reading your invoice, make sure you are only charged for the services you contracted, that the billed period is correct, and that the applied taxes are appropriate.)
Ahora ya sabes cómo leer tu factura. (Now you know how to read your invoice.)

Exercise 2: Use the website or the reading text

Instruction: You need to sign up for fiber and a mobile line for your new flat in Spain.

Task: Compara dos tarifas: explica qué incluye cada una (fibra, líneas, GB, TV), el precio y cuál prefieres; escribe un correo solicitando más información y justificando tu elección.

(Compare two plans: explain what each one includes (fiber, lines, GB, TV), give the price and say which you prefer; write an email requesting more information and justifying your choice.)

Orange ofrece varias tarifas que combinan fibra, móvil y TV. Una opción económica incluye Fibra 600 Mb y una línea móvil 5G+ con 60 GB de datos por 50 €/mes. También hay paquetes más completos con cine, series o fútbol.

Por ejemplo, un plan de “Cine y Series” puede incluir fibra hasta 1 Gb y 2 líneas móviles 5G+ con llamadas y GB ilimitados, además de TV con más de 90 canales y SkyShowtime, por 91 €/mes. Otros planes con fútbol y cine cuestan 107 €/mes o 127 €/mes, según el número de líneas y la velocidad de fibra.

Es mejor que compares el precio, la cobertura y el consumo de datos antes de decidirte.
