If the start is immediate, request the exact start date and the schedule for your first week in writing.

This week the sector union has negotiated new conditions regarding holidays and sick leave, so check whether they affect you. If your contract is temporary, ask about renewal in advance. When someone retires, the position may be reorganized and the team may change; therefore it’s useful to confirm who you report to and which duties you will keep.
