(Review: an afternoon at the art gallery)
At the weekend I visited an art gallery in Madrid with the audio guide. The permanent collection brings together painting and sculpture from various periods, from classical art to contemporary works. I was especially interested in a portrait by a local painter and a room dedicated to architecture: they explained how some buildings were built to change the image of the city.
The temporary exhibition was well organized, but the fee seemed a bit high to me for the time available. Even so, I left wanting to go again: next time I will book a guided tour and I will photograph only the pieces that are allowed. I will also look for more information about the main sculptor, because his work seemed simple, but it had many details.

Hola 🙂 Soy Laura.
¿Tú a qué hora podrías?
Hi 🙂 I’m Laura. Would you like to go this Saturday to the Reina Sofía Museum? I’d like to see Guernica and also the permanent collection. We can get an audioguide or sign up for a guided tour, but I don’t know which rate is more convenient.
I could be there around 11:00. Afterwards, if it works for you, we’ll have lunch nearby. What time could you make it? And one more thing: can you take photos in the galleries?

Hi Laura, I’d love to! I could arrive around 11:15, because before that I have a brief meeting. If you like, we’ll see Guernica first and then part of the permanent collection.

About the rate, I think it’s better to buy the tickets online to avoid queues. I prefer the audioguide so we can go at our own pace, but if there’s a guided tour in Spanish at 11:30 I’ll join too.

As for photography, I don’t know right now; I’ll check it on the website this afternoon and confirm. And yes, afterwards we’ll have lunch in the area.
