De regering heeft besloten dit geld te geven, waardoor het museum nu een officieel Rijksmuseum is geworden. (The government has decided to give this money, which has now made the museum an official national museum.)

Het Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is elke dag open van 9 tot 17 uur. Je kunt online Rijksmuseum tickets kopen en in het museum zijn er speciale activiteiten voor families en kinderen. In de collectie staan meer dan een miljoen kunstwerken, zoals schilderijen, tekeningen en objecten. Er zijn ook tijdelijke tentoonstellingen, bijvoorbeeld Metamorfosen met werk van Caravaggio en Bernini. Veel bezoekers komen om een kunstwerk rustig te bekijken en te bewonderen; ze letten dan op details zoals vorm en licht. De tentoonstelling is zeker interessant en het is misschien handig om je bezoek vooraf te plannen via de bezoekersinformatie.
