In Den Haag bezochten we Panorama Mesdag, het grootste ronde schilderij van Nederland. Sta in het midden en het doek lijkt echt alsof je op het strand bent. De en de details trekken veel aandacht; je ziet steeds weer iets nieuws. is niet altijd toegestaan, dus controleer de regels bij de ingang.

De overheid het museum nu als Rijksmuseum en betaalt mee aan het onderhoud. Daardoor zal de waarschijnlijk beter bewaard blijven en komen er vast meer bezoekers. Het museum wil jongeren tot en met 18 jaar gratis entree geven. Als je met collega’s gaat, is het handig om vooraf een tijdslot te reserveren en na afloop samen te welk kunstwerk je het meest inspireerde.
In The Hague we visited Panorama Mesdag, the largest circular painting in the Netherlands. Stand in the middle and the canvas really looks as if you are on the beach. The shape and the details attract a lot of attention; you keep seeing something new. Taking photos is not always allowed, so check the rules at the entrance.

The government is now protecting the museum as a national museum and is contributing to its maintenance. As a result, the collection will probably be preserved better and there will surely be more visitors. The museum may want to give free admission to young people up to and including 18 years old. If you go with colleagues, it is useful to reserve a time slot in advance and afterwards assess together which artwork inspired you the most.

Morgen leid ik een paar collega’s rond in een gallerij in Rotterdam. We bekijken vooral de collectie moderne schilderijen en ook een klein deel over de architectuur van het gebouw. Eén kunstwerk trekt altijd veel aandacht: een groot portret van een jonge vrouw, met vreemde vormen op de achtergrond. Ik wil dat we rustig kijken en daarna onze oordelen over de kunstenaar vergelijken. Fotograferen is daar niet toegestaan, maar in de winkel kun je een ingelijste print kopen. Na het bezoek drinken we koffie en bespreek ik wat mij het meest heeft geïnspireerd.
