Dear patient,

We have received and prepared the prescription from your GP. When you collect it, please check your list of medications and let us know if you have any allergies. The pharmacist can then check with you whether there are any contraindications with other medicines you are already taking. Also read the patient information leaflet at home: it explains how the medicine works, possible side effects, and what to do if you forget a dose.

The label shows the dosage and the preferred time to take it (for example with food or on an empty stomach). Follow the prescription exactly, even if your symptoms improve. Keep the medicine dry and check the expiry date. If you develop a rash, shortness of breath, or severe abdominal pain after starting the medicine, contact the pharmacy or the GP out-of-hours service immediately.
